Amy Buono, MD
As a board-certified pediatrician, Amy C. Buono, MD, provides comprehensive customized services to meet the unique needs of each child at Buono Pediatrics & Wellness, her private practice in Millburn, New Jersey. Dr. Buono has a background in pediatric endocrinology and molecular biology. She has co-authored several published articles on the subject in medical journals and presented at conferences and meetings around the world.
At her pediatric practice, Dr. Buono offers a variety of services focusing on the needs of children from birth through young adulthood. She enjoys meeting new people and growing her relationships with the established patients of the practice. As the owner of Buono Pediatrics & Wellness, Dr. Buono is committed to maintaining a friendly, welcoming environment for children of all ages and provides the highest level of individualized pediatric care.
Dr. Buono earned her master’s degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, and pursued her doctor of medicine credentials at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Medical School in Camden, New Jersey. She then completed her residency at Atlantic Health Systems – Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey, where she served as pediatric chief resident. Following her residency, Dr. Buono briefly studied endocrinology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine – Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City prior to entering her general pediatrics practice.
As a full-service pediatrician practice, Dr. Buono offers routine health exams, school physicals, and immunizations. She also offers same-day appointment opportunities for urgent care visits.
Outside of the office, Dr. Buono continues to find a balance between health and fun through her love of running and all things baking and party-related. She runs on an almost daily basis and has run several half marathons. When she is not running, she can usually be found planning a birthday party for one of her two daughters or baking a cake for the next big family gathering.
Dr. Ryan Housam
Dr. Ryan Housam has been a board-certified pediatrician for over 10 years and is excited to continue her practice here. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. After completing an extra year of training in endocrinology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she began practicing in general pediatrics in New Jersey. She has also completed the REACH program in order to provide better mental health care for her patients. In her spare time, Dr Housam enjoys spending time with her 2 kids and husband, reading, and running. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone!
